About Us
Mahala Football Academy is a top-tier Division Two football club in Ghana, founded by former Ghanaian Black Stars player, Kwadwo Poku Mahala.
He previously played for Asante Kotoko, FC Midtjylland (Denmark), and the Ghana national team. At the peak of his career, Poku was named Africa’s Best Young Player and was Ghana’s top scorer at the African Cup of Nations.
In 2004, he was nominated for FIFA’s Best U-21 Player Award, alongside global stars like Messi, Rooney, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
He currently runs a youth football academy in Denmark and serves as the founder and head coach of Mahala Football Academy in Ghana, where he develops young talents to compete on the international stage.

Achievements & Milestones
- 2021: Won the Ashanti Regional Division Three league—promoted to Division Two.
- 2021–2022: Finished runners-up in Ashanti Regional Division Two Middle League; narrowly missed promotion after a playoff—Pack Academy secured ascension.
- August 2023: Participated in the three-club playoff alongside Team Move FC and Young Red Bull FC for a spot in Access Bank Division One League.
- 2024–2025: Mahala FA secured an impressive 2nd place finish in Division Two.
