BENARD DON BORTEY
THE LEGENDARY NAME. THE NEW LEADER.
Mahala Football Academy is proud to announce one of the biggest
additions to our technical team for the new season —
Benard Don Bortey, a legendary figure associated
with Accra Hearts of Oak, has joined Mahala Football
Academy as our new Head Coach.
Bringing experience, leadership, discipline and a deep understanding
of the Ghanaian game, Coach Don Bortey takes charge of a young and
ambitious Mahala side with a clear mandate:
develop talent, build a competitive team and lead the club
towards Division One qualification.
A new chapter begins at Mahala.

Coach Benard Don Bortey already getting to work — shaping the next
generation of Mahala Football Academy players.
FRANCIS OSEI TUTU
Continuity remains at the heart of Mahala Football Academy.
Formerly the club’s Head Coach, Francis Osei Tutu
now takes up the role of Assistant Head Coach,
bringing his previous experience, knowledge of the players and
understanding of the club’s philosophy into the new technical setup.
His continued presence ensures that the transition into the new
era is built on both experience and continuity.
NANA BONSU
Between the posts, Mahala’s goalkeepers will continue to benefit
from the expertise of Nana Bonsu — a former
Ghana U-17 goalkeeper and AshantiGold shot-stopper
who went on to enjoy a successful career with
Enugu Rangers in Nigeria.
With experience at a high level and a career built around the
demands of elite goalkeeping, Nana Bonsu brings valuable knowledge
to the development of Mahala’s goalkeepers.

RICHMOND MINKAH
Richmond Minkah continues as part of the Mahala
Football Academy technical team, contributing to the day-to-day
preparation, player development and tactical work of the squad.
His continued involvement strengthens the technical department and
provides the players with another experienced voice as the club
pursues its ambitions for the new season.
