Our first team has begun preparation for the upcoming Division One League Play-Off against Team Move FC and Young Red Bull FC.

As finalist of the 2022-23 Ashanti Regional Division Two Promotional tournament, we have secured an opportunity to participate in the playoff competition proposed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in a date and venue yet to be communicated.

The playoff has become necessary, following the decision of former Ghana Premier League side West African Football Academy (WAFA), pulling away from the Division One League precisely from Zone Two.

The playoff is organised among the losing finalist of the Regional Middle league play offs in the Ashanti Region, Western Region and Central Region of which Mahala Football Academy is a losing finalist in Ashanti Region.

Mahala Football Academy lost 2-0 to PAC Academy in the final as we failed to grab the slot to Division One League, Ghana’s second-tier league.

However, the opportunity has come to try again.

Meanwhile, management has written to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on our acceptance as on Wednesday August 9, 2023 to participate in the play offs.
