On Sunday afternoon, Mahala Football Academy will play guest to Afigya Barcelona in matchday 12 fixture of the 2022-23 Ashanti Regional Division Two League.
Both teams, have met once and it was a league game.
Mahala Football Academy in the first round hosted Afigya Barcelona at the Armed Forces S.H.S Park in week 7 fixture, which ended in a six goal thriller. Game ended in a 3-3 despite Mahala Football Academy taking a two goal lead in the first 10 minutes of the encounter.
The Academy lads showed their attacking prowess in their clash against Afigya netting thrice before full time, however could not secure all maximum points but settled for a draw.
Winger Isaac Asumadu scored the opener in the 4th minute before striker Kofi Agyemang registered brace having scored in both halves to secure Mahala Football Academy a vital point.
Mahala FA, ahead of this weekend’s game received morale bolster following the return of key midfielder Awudu Mohammed. The midfield gem missed game against Sporting Time due to suspension but now available for the clash.
Coach Emmanuel Nkrumah is coming on the back of a heavy win after beating Sporting Time 4-1 in their last league game.
