Mahala Football Academy has historically secured themselves ticket for 2023 Ashanti Region Division Two Middle League after a crucial victory over Centurio Life on Thursday morning at the Prempeh College Park.
The emphatic win, means the Academy lads finish second in Zone four with 34 points behind PAC Academy.
Mahala Football Academy showed high level of commitment to lash Centurio Life 3-1 on Thursday to extend their winning streak to seven (7) in the second phase of the 2022-23 Ashanti Region Division Two League.
A scintillating performance inspired us to recover from a goal down to win in a fashionable comeback way.
Attacking midfielder Emmanuel Attah Frimpong led the comeback path after getting us the leveller four minutes after the break.
Mahala Football Academy despite being the better side suffered a 1-0 defeat in the first half but regrouped to stage a mouth-watering performance which handed us a 3-1 triumph.
With Attah Frimpong getting the equalizer, second half substitute Kelvin Asenso scored in the 60th minute to put us infront for the first time.
Five minutes to the 90th minute mark, Justice Asamoah added another goal to extend Mahala Football Academy lead to 3-1 to finish our campaign on a blistering form.
Mahala Football Academy did not just win the clash but exhibited a stupendous performance to crown it all as they won 7 games and lost just one in nine matches played in the second round.
Mahala Football Academy have now qualified for the Middle League and will hope to write their name in the history books as they look to secure a first division spot. The 2022-23 league season marks, Mahala Football Academy’s maiden campaign yet defied all odds to make it to middle league for the first time ever.
They have promised to qualify this season as they chase promotion to the second tier league in Ghana.
