Mahala Football Academy will play guest to Jachie United in the ongoing 2023 Ashanti Region Division Two Promotional tournament (Middle league) match day 2 fixture on Monday, May 01 2023. They’re hoping to redeem their fate with a win against Jachie United.
For the records, both teams have never met in any competitive game.
The 2023 Ashanti Region Division Two Middle League newbabies, Mahala Football Academy has a difficult task ahead having lost our first game to Benab FC, last season’s finalist. Mahala Football Academy suffered a painful 1-0 narrow defeat to Benab FC on Friday.
Despite Mahala Football Academy dominating possession, and creating the best chances in the game failed to capitalize on the opportunities, allowing Benab FC to register the opener late in the second half from a low cross, which was tapped in.
Although the Academy lads mounted series of pressure on Benab FC in the last five minutes of the encounter, but could not level with ten men.
With the sticks high for Mahala Football Academy, the lads are expected to put up extraordinary performance against Jachie United. The latter is coming on the back of a big win after coming from a goal down to beat zone six winners Kumasi Academicals- in an epic five-goal thriller.
Though, Mahala Football Academy is considered underdog heading into this fixture as the odds doesn’t point good numbers for us but able technical team led by Emmanuel Nkrumah is expected to parade a formidable squad for the game in search of our first victory.
The team is expected to push away their lost to Benab FC and stay resolute for Jachie United crunchy encounter.
Opponent player to watch
The backline of Coach Emmanuel Nkrumah will need to put an eye on Jachie United attacker Sadam Abdulai. The Ghanaian offered KSI Academicals a very difficult test where they rallied from behind to win 3-2.
He lead the comeback by netting a second half hat-trick to secure his outfit win.
SUSPENSION
Defender Osman Salifu is ruled out of this epic encounter after receiving the matching orders in our game against Benab FC last Friday.
The center-back was shown the RED card in the 78th minute having received a caution in the first half. Osman was the master struck at the defense line where he showed high qualities and leadership skills to ensure we sailed through with a positive result but could not see us there after taken the sent-off.
His departure led to Mahala Football Academy conceding a cheap goal late in the game.
He is on Suspension and therefore cannot play a part in Jachie United clash.

With the exception of captain Prince Osei who is still recovering from a knee injury, the rest of the team is in good shape and poised to redeem our image.
