MATCH REPORT: Kofi Agyemang at the double as Mahala Football Academy see off River Plate A.C

Mahala Football Academy continued pursuit for qualification with a stellar first half display in a 3–0 win against River Plate A.C.

Two first half goals each from Emmanuel Attah Frimpong and Kofi Agyemang who was the eventual Player of the Match propelled us to a deserving victory at the Wesco Park on Sunday. A delightful display of ball possession saw a low cross from winger Kelvin Asenso, which handed us the lead as Attah Frimpong scored with an enigmatic finish.

The first half was a half of numerous chances created with just two hitting the back of the net.

Inform striker Kofi Agyemang made it 2-0 before break after massive dominance.

And the action that followed from the second half would not disappoint.

Goal fell for the Academy lads; Kofi Agyemang curled one from the left side of the pitch which took a bounce of inside the penalty box to place the icing on the cake to make it 3-0.

Our leading topscorer, Kofi Agyemang took his tally on the day to two goals after converting expertly a beautiful goal to increase our tally.

The win which is a massive one, gets us to our mission as we aim for middle league qualification. However, we are with 28 points and second in Zone 4 from 16 matches.

Mahala Football Academy will face Sasaamo Panin next on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the Wesco Park at 11:00A.M.
