On Thursday morning, Mahala Football Academy travelled to face Ghana Premier League giant’s Asante Kotoko SC in a club friendly at the Adako Jachie training complex.
As part of the team preparation, ahead of the new Ashanti Regional Football Association [ARFA] Division Two League, management approved a friendly game for the team.

The 2021-22 Ghana Premier League champions, Asante Kotoko SC on the other hand were also putting their team in good shape for their international friendly game against Belize later this month.
Head Coach Emmanuel Nkrumah and his charges lost by a narrow result, following a 1-0 defeat in full time going in favour of the Porcupine Warriors.
A lone goal from Dickson Afoakwa, was enough to amass all maximum points for Asante Kotoko SC, seeing Division Two side, Mahala Football Academy failing to respond. MahalaFootballAcademy, made few incursions at goal especially in the second department of the encounter but always had that pass the goalpost of the Reds as they bowed to a narrow defeat.
The encounter was a perfect test game for both the playing body and the technical team of Mahala Football Academy.
The team, will continue with series of friendly matches before the commencement of new league season.
